dk active Celebrates International Women's Day 2022

"Imagine a gender equal world.
A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.
A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive.
A world where difference is valued and celebrated.
Together we can forge women's equality.
Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias."

This week dk active and women around the globe celebrated International Women's Day.  Here at dk active we care about lifting women up - not just for one day but for 365 days a year. Dk active uplifts women because we take the pressure off needing to fit a certain mould to wear our brand. Whether you’re working out or hanging out we have something for you. And you will feel fabulous in it!

This year's theme was Break the Bias and what a better way to celebrate than with a smash cake filled with delicious sweets! Thank you to the talented team at Smash A Cake for creating these for our amazing community. And to all the wonderful women who participated in Breaking the Bias across the globe.

“Diversity is a key pillar in the dk active brand. We aim to celebrate all kinds of self-identifying women. Whether that is by size, race, cultural beliefs, stages in life (maternity) – or even down to the everyday activity they enjoy wearing their dk active in.”  - Danielle Kay Founder

dk active are proud supporters of Women's Legal Services QLD and this year we made a donation on behalf of our dk active community which helps 30,000 women and their children with free legal and social work support services. Together we are helping women achieve a safer future.

“Breaking the Bias is such an amazing theme. Gender equality is something we all need to work towards (both female and males included). As women, we do not need to settle for any less than being equal, and it is shocking that we even must ask for that. But this theme is not only about self-identifying women but breaking all stigmas against bias of any stereotypes and discrimination. I love celebrating individuality – that is what the dk active brand is all about. So, this theme really resonates with me and the rest of our team.”   - Danielle Kay Holden Founder

Check out how we celebrated by breaking the bias...sweetly of course!
